"SAMARPAN, We Care"

“SAMARPAN, we care” is an initiative dedicated to shaping a brighter future for underprivileged children and women. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support and development opportunities to those in need. At SAMARPAN, we believe in the power of care and compassion. Our initiative is focused on the welfare and development of children and women, providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive.
Our interdisciplinary team of professionals provide neuro-developmental and psychological evaluations, and treatments for children, adolescents and their families. We address a wide range of needs to ensure holistic development and well-being.

Under the Samarpan initiative we provide daily necessities like blankets, eatables, sanitary products, etc. to show support to the less fortunate section of our society and motivate them by teaching them about hygiene, cleanliness, education and empowerment. By providing these basics, we help improve their quality of life and show them that they are not alone.

We are working for the welfare and well-being of underprivileged children and their families, which makes it possible for them to work together on this beautiful project. Through workshops and community programs, we aim to instill a sense of self-worth and independence.

Uppliftment of Underprivileged Children, Women and Young Girls

We began our journey by working in the slum areas, where countless children were deprived of basic education, literacy, and nutrition. Recognizing the urgent need, we initiated our efforts by providing these underprivileged children with access to education. Through our sponsorship programs, we regularly support the studies of many of these children, ensuring they have the opportunity to learn and grow.
Building on this foundation, we extended our focus to young girls, sponsoring their education and empowering them with various skills, including digital media and storytelling. Our aim is to equip them with the tools they need to tell their own stories and navigate the digital world confidently.

In addition to education, we are deeply committed to the health and well-being of the communities we serve. We conduct counseling sessions for pregnant women, young girls, and mothers, addressing critical issues such as malnutrition and its eradication. Our programs emphasize the importance of proper nutrition for children, providing free vaccinations, and promoting cleanliness and hygiene. Regular health check-ups are also a key component of our efforts, ensuring that these communities receive the medical attention they need.

Through our comprehensive approach, we strive to create a supportive environment where children and young girls can thrive, and families can lead healthier, more informed lives. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty and deprivation, one step at a time, by fostering education, health, and empowerment.

Classroom Support Program

Shalini Sewa Sansthan has been dedicated to running a Classroom Support Program and pre-school, providing holistic developmental opportunities for slum children aged 3 to 12. These children, coming from families of laborers, housemaids, drivers, and other street children living under difficult circumstances, are given not only educational support but also nutritional food to ensure their overall well-being.

  • Holistic Development: We focus on the social and emotional development of these underprivileged children, ensuring they grow in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our program aims to provide a comprehensive educational experience that goes beyond academics, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.
  • Basic Hygiene Education: Educating children about basic hygiene practices, such as handwashing, dental care, and personal cleanliness, is a key component of our program. We believe that good hygiene is fundamental to their health and well-being, and we instill these habits early on.
  • Physical health through Yoga: We also encourage our children at Classroom Support Program to practice Yoga in their daily lives. The sessions include fun and engaging activities that make yoga enjoyable for children. Yoga teaches children valuable skills such as patience, resilience, and self-discipline. These skills are essential for their overall development.
  • Social belongingness: At or Classroom Support Program, festivals are integrated into the curriculum, where children learn about the significance and history of each festival. This educational approach helps in broadening their cultural understanding. Students engage in creative activities such as drawing, craft making, and storytelling related to the festivals. These sessions are designed to be fun and educational, encouraging creativity and participation. Children are encouraged to perform skits, dances, and songs related to the festivals.
  • Safe and Nurturing Environment: We strive to create a safe haven for these children, shielding them from the negative influences and bad habits prevalent in slum areas.
  • Empowerment and Better Choices: We encourage them to dream big and provide the tools and support needed to achieve their aspirations.
  • Family Outreach: Our impact extends to the families of these children, particularly working mothers, by providing them with resources and support to improve their living conditions. We aim to create a ripple effect, where the benefits of our program reach beyond the children to their entire families, fostering a community of well-being and progress.

Old Age Home "Saroj Vridh Ashram"

After conducting extensive ground-level research and analyzing numerous reports highlighting the victimization of senior citizens across various societal groups in India, we felt compelled to take action. Recognizing the urgent need to support this vulnerable segment of our population, we decided to establish an Old Age Home in the district of Etawah. Our mission is to cater to the needs of elderly individuals who have been abandoned or are living away from their families due to various circumstances.
Our facility is designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these senior citizens. We offer a comprehensive range of basic amenities, including nutritious food, comfortable shelter, and essential healthcare services. Understanding the importance of holistic well-being, we also provide recreational activities to keep our residents engaged and active.

In addition to meeting their immediate needs, we are committed to ensuring the continuous medical care of our residents. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is always on hand to address any health concerns and provide regular check-ups. We strive to create a community where the elderly can live with dignity, respect, and a sense of belonging.

Celebration of Festivals

At Saroj Vridhashram, we believe in the joy and unity that festivals bring. Our celebrations are designed to foster a sense of community, happiness, and cultural appreciation among our residents.
We celebrate all our festivals marked with traditional decorations, music and get together, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Festive meals are prepared, often including traditional dishes that bring back fond memories for our residents. Local volunteers and community members often join us in these celebrations, enhancing the sense of community and support for our residents.

Yoga Sessions

Our Yoga Sessions are an integral part of promoting physical and mental well-being among our residents at Saroj Vridhashram. These sessions are designed to enhance overall health, reduce stress, and foster a sense of inner peace and community.
Yoga sessions are held regularly, providing our elderly residents with a structured routine that helps in maintaining their physical health and flexibility. The sessions not only improve physical health but also contribute to mental well-being by reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation. Residents often report feeling more energetic and positive after participating. These sessions provide an opportunity for residents to come together, fostering a sense of community and mutual support. The shared experience of practicing yoga enhances their social connections and overall happiness.

Poshan Jan Abhiyan

Our Sansthan has actively participated in the ‘Poshan Jan Abhiyan’, a vital initiative that strengthens the Prime Minister’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition, known as ‘Poshan Abhiyan’. Through this scheme, we have engaged civil society across 15 districts in Uttar Pradesh.
One of our key contributions has been the establishment of Poshan Vatikas (Nutritional Gardens). These gardens serve as a practical and sustainable solution to combat malnutrition at the grassroots level. By cultivating a variety of nutrient-rich plants, we aim to provide communities with direct access to fresh and healthy produce.
The primary objective of our program is to understand the problem of malnutrition deeply and to raise awareness about its impacts. We strive to change the community’s perspective on nutrition, emphasizing its importance for the future well-being of their children.

Our efforts include educational workshops and hands-on training sessions for men, women, and children. These sessions focus on the benefits of a balanced diet and how to incorporate nutritious foods into daily meals. By empowering individuals with knowledge and practical skills, we hope to foster long-term dietary habits that support overall health and development. Through our dedicated work, we aim to ensure that every family has the opportunity to lead a healthier life, thereby securing a brighter future for the next generation.

Medical Camps

Throughout the year, we organized several medical camps aimed at addressing the healthcare needs of our Old Age Home residents and the surrounding community. These camps were held at various intervals to ensure continuous medical support and monitoring.

  • Comprehensive Health Check-ups: Each camp included essential health screenings such as blood pressure (BP) monitoring, blood sugar tests, and other routine blood tests. These check-ups were crucial in early detection and management of potential health issues.
  • Provision of Basic Supplies: Doctors and healthcare professionals provided necessary medical supplies, including medications and health supplements, to those in need. This ensured that both residents and community members had access to essential healthcare resources.
  • The camps were staffed by qualified doctors and healthcare workers who offered their expertise and time to conduct thorough examinations and provide medical advice.
  • Community Outreach: By extending our services beyond the Old Age Home, we were able to support the broader community, particularly those who might not have regular access to medical care. This outreach helped in building stronger community ties and promoting overall well-being.
  • These medical camps have been a cornerstone of our commitment to health and wellness, ensuring that our residents and neighbors receive the care and attention they deserve.

Shalini Memorial Sewa Sansthan

In 2013, Shalini Memorial Sewa Sansthan was founded in loving memory of my late sister, Shalini, who tragically lost her life in a road accident. Losing a family member is never easy, but we were determined to keep her spirit alive through our good work.
